Job summary

Goodwill Industries Group in Michigan City, IN is seeking a dedicated Store Associate to sort, price, tag, and stock donated textiles in a fast-paced retail environment. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will maintain quality standards, achieve required pace (pph goals), and support daily store operations while upholding Goodwill's mission to empower people.

Responsibilities include transporting carts, processing donations, organizing racks, and recording production metrics daily.

Qualifications

Adherence to standard retail practices.
Familiarity with clothing, shoes, furniture and toys.
Basic literacy and numeracy.
Ability to make quick and accurate decisions.
Tactful communication with the public and coworkers.
Flexibility to work varying schedules.

Responsibilities

Sort, price, and tag donated textiles at a minimum rate of 80 pieces per hour (PPH).
Retrieve Textile Production Sheet at the beginning of each shift and turn it in upon completion.
Transport carts containing items to be processed.
Process donations promptly.
Dispose of trash into designated True Trash receptacles as needed.
Organize racks for efficient stocking.
Daily recording of PPH for tracking purposes.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
