Job summary

Crescent Textile Solutions, a unit of RTP Company, located in Two Rivers, WI, is seeking an operator for carding machinery. You will set up, start, and run the carding line, weighing and feeding fibers and monitoring quality during continuous production.

The role requires dependability, safety awareness, good math and reading/writing skills, and the ability to work with others in a manufacturing setting. Prior circular knitting experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• HS degree or GED preferred.
• Past manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be dependable with excellent attendance.
• Must be safety conscious and punctual.
• Must read, write, and speak English.
• Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
• Experience with circular knitting machines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, start and run the carding machine.
• Weigh materials to meet specifications and feed the carding machine.
• Monitor production and equipment for safe, efficient operations.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processing issues.
• Repair broken ends to maintain continuous fiber and roving.
• Refer issues to Lead/Supervisor for disposition.
• Clean and maintain the carding machine.
• Document work and complete logs.
• Examine material for conformance with standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
