Job summary

Lower Colorado River Authority seeks a Senior Transmission Outage and Schedule Coordinator to oversee outage submissions to SOCC and ERCOT. You will coordinate with engineering, maintenance and project teams, travel to Texas sites, and help mitigate risks to the grid.

Qualifications

• Nine or more years of experience in operations, maintenance or engineering related to high voltage transmission lines and substations.
• A degree in engineering, electrical power theory or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
• Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Ensure collaboration between project management, maintenance, construction, functional management groups and SOCC regarding outage requests and scheduling.
• Review and coordinate construction, maintenance and customer project transmission voltage outage requests; make scheduling recommendations.
• Prepare and submit documentation to SOCC for system review and scheduling approval with ERCOT.
• Review documentation for best practices regarding outage requests and cancellations to meet ERCOT's highest approval rating level.
