Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking multiple Survey Party Chiefs to join our Survey Division in the United States. You will lead a survey crew of 1-5, assign and monitor work, and provide evaluations. You will perform boundary, topographic, ALTA, GPS, hydrographic, and control surveys.

Work mostly in the field (up to 90%), coordinating with construction plans and large commercial projects. You will train, mentor, and ensure safety while delivering high-quality survey data.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7-10 years as Crew Leader/Party Chief.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Surveying license or LSIT.
• Experience with Trimble or similar software.
• Proficient with Robotic Total Station.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and maintenance of survey equipment on site.
• Prepare field sketches, notes, and drawings per standards.
• Assemble instruments and run survey measuring devices accurately.
• Ensure equipment readiness and battery charging for next tasks.
• Perform mathematical calculations and read plans.
