Job summary

STV Incorporated invites a Staff Surveyor (RPLS) to join our Texas survey team across multiple offices including Fort Worth. You will support boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and right-of-way surveys for transportation and infrastructure projects, collecting data with GPS/GNSS, robotic total stations and digital levels.

You will prepare field notes and deliverables while coordinating with project teams and utilizing Trimble/ Civil 3D/ Carlson / MicroStation software.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) licensed in Texas or reciprocity within timeframe.
• 2–5 years of experience as a licensed professional in transportation, municipal, utility, or land development.
• Working knowledge of survey principles, coordinate systems, field procedures, and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Support a wide variety of survey assignments including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, right-of-way, utility and construction surveys.
• Collect, process, and verify survey data using GPS/GNSS, robotic total stations, digital levels, and data collectors.
• Prepare field notes, sketches, and project records for deliverables.
• Import field data and assist with deliverables using Trimble Business Center, Civil 3D, Carlson Survey, MicroStation.
• Establish survey control, support construction layout, and verify site conditions for active projects.
• Assist with plats, legal descriptions, easement exhibits, right-of-way mapping and survey calculations.
