Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a Staff Surveyor (RPLS) in Texas to support a broad range of surveying tasks across transportation, municipal, utility, and infrastructure projects. You will collect data with GPS/GNSS and robotic total stations, prepare deliverables, and collaborate with project teams to ensure accuracy and quality.

You will work with Trimble, Civil 3D, Carlson, and MicroStation in a flexible Texas-office environment, contributing to meaningful infrastructure work while advancing

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in Texas or eligibility for reciprocity.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience as a licensed professional on transportation, municipal, utility, land development, or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Support a wide variety of survey assignments including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, right-of-way, utility, construction, route, and as-built surveys.
• Collect, process, and verify survey data using GPS/GNSS, robotic total stations, digital levels, and data collectors.
• Prepare field notes, sketches, and project records to support high-quality deliverables.
• Import data and assist with deliverables using Trimble Business Center, Civil 3D, Carlson Survey, MicroStation, and related software.
• Establish survey control, support construction layout, and verify site conditions for active projects.
