Ideal candidates will have a J.D. from an accredited law school, active Texas bar, and 2+ years of PI litigation experience, with strong writing, research, and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active Texas bar license.
  • Prior personal injury experience preferred; ideally 2+ years of PI litigation in Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury matters.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and other involved parties.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement demands, and other legal documents.
  • Review and analyze medical records, bills, accident reports, and other evidence.
  • Conduct and defend depositions as experience permits.
  • Negotiate claims and settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.
  • Assist with case strategy, litigation preparation, mediation, and trial preparation.
  • Maintain accurate case files and meet applicable deadlines.
  • Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys.
