Job summary

gpac is seeking an Associate Attorney for a growing personal injury firm in Texas. The role involves handling a diverse caseload from inception to resolution, including litigation when necessary, and working closely with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel.

This is a collaborative, accountable team that values clear communication and meticulous case management. This position requires a J.D., Texas license, and 2+ years of PI experience.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in Texas.
• 2+ years PI litigation in Texas preferred.
• Strong understanding of personal injury law, liability, damages, and insurance claims.
• Excellent negotiation, writing, research, and communication skills.
• Strong organization and case-management abilities.
• Ability to independently manage matters while working effectively as part of a team.
• Litigation, deposition, mediation experience; trial experience is a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of personal injury matters
• Communicate regularly with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and other involved parties
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement demands, and other legal documents.
• Review and analyze medical records, bills, accident reports, and other evidence.
• Conduct and defend depositions as experience permits.
• Negotiate claims and settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.
• Assist with case strategy, litigation preparation, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Maintain accurate case files and meet applicable deadlines.
• Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys.
