Job summary

Human Trafficking Institute (HTI) is hiring a Senior Data & MERL Specialist for Texas. You will shape the Texas data strategy, maintain data systems, and translate data into insights for program learning, accountability, and donor reporting.

The role emphasizes data quality, governance, and impact-driven analytics to support HTI’s Texas expansion while protecting sensitive information. Remote, based in Texas, with collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning, matching, and managing messy data from multiple sources with clear methods.
• Proficiency in at least one of SQL, R, or Python for repeatable data cleaning and analysis.
• Experience handling confidential or sensitive data in line with privacy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain structured databases and data dictionaries with KPI definitions.
• Create interactive dashboards and visualizations (Power BI or similar).
• Analyze data to identify trends and inform program decisions.
• Translate findings into actionable recommendations for Texas program leadership.
