Job summary

Upgrade Resources seeks a Superintendent - Mechanical Piping, Plumbing & Sheetmetal to lead Texas field operations on major projects. You will direct piping, plumbing, and sheet metal crews, uphold safety standards, and ensure quality, cost control, and timely delivery across multiple Texas markets.

Openings exist in Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and surrounding areas, with compensation aligned to experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a craft apprenticeship program, or equivalent skill level and training.
• Minimum of 8 years in a supervisory position in the field.
• High school degree or equivalent; some college preferred.
• OSHA-30 certification, or the ability to obtain it within six months from date of hire.
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of OSHA safety regulations as well as company safety policies and procedures.
• Hands-on knowledge of mechanical, piping, plumbing, or sheet metal field installation methods.
• Ability to understand project scopes and objectives as well as the scopes of other construction trades.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
• Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
• This role is available to candidates located near our active Texas locations and sites, including Dallas, Carrollton, Fort Worth, Haltom City, and Houston.
• Experience across more than one of the mechanical, piping, plumbing, and sheet metal trades (Preferred).
• Hyperscale data center, hospital, life sciences, or high-rise commercial project experience(Preferred).
• Experience supporting prefabrication and modular construction delivery(Preferred)Bilingual English and Spanish(Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide overall field leadership on assigned projects across piping, plumbing, and sheet metal crews.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate craft personnel against fluctuating labor needs.
• Direct, support, and mentor foremen and general foremen.
• Own safety in the field and participate in safety investigations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality control programs on projects.
• Oversee project scheduling, organization, and implementation.
• Resolve issues related to procedures, damages, and delays; settle conflicts between crews.
• Requisition supplies and materials and assist with start-up problems.
• Prepare and submit labor and cost tracking reports.
