Job summary

Mission Ridge Rehab in Texas is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) on a PRN basis to join our in-house team. You will provide person-centered care to help residents improve mobility, strength, and quality of life under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

The ideal candidate holds an active Texas PTA license, is in good standing, has familiarity with SNF or long-term care settings, and can document care in Net Health. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas PTA license
• In good standing with regulatory agencies
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred
• Knowledge of physical therapy practices
• Experience with Net Health documentation preferred
• Ability to manage patients with varying needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed PT treatments to relieve pain and improve function
• Provide PT services under PT supervision
• Relay information and referrals to the PT
• Modify care plans under PT supervision
• Measure motor function and strength
• Monitor response to treatment and adjust as needed
• Provide education to patients and families
• Maintain thorough, compliant documentation
• Attend meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab
