Job summary

Bush & Bush Law Group is seeking an experienced Law & Motions Paralegal in Texas to support a busy plaintiff practice. You will draft and file substantive motions, conduct legal research, and prepare petitions and responses for state and federal courts.

You will manage discovery, review medical records, and prepare hearing notebooks while mentoring junior paralegals, coordinating deadlines and e-filing across cases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a litigation paralegal in Texas Plaintiff Personal Injury & Civil Litigation.
• Extensive experience drafting substantive motions and supporting documents with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Draft and file substantive legal motions, including motions to compel and for summary judgment.
• Conduct in-depth legal research to support litigation strategy.
• Draft petitions, pleadings, responses, replies, and memoranda for state and federal courts.
• Prepare discovery responses tailored to facts and issues.
• Review medical records and evidence to support motion practice.
• Prepare hearing notebooks, trial binders, and exhibit lists.
• Monitor court deadlines and scheduling orders; ensure timely filings.
• Coordinate electronic filing with Texas courts and organize files.
• Assist attorneys in developing litigation strategy and mentoring team.
