Job summary

Marathon Petroleum is seeking a Natural Gas Scheduler for the Texas/Gulf Coast region. The role manages day-to-day nominations, scheduling, and physical flow of natural gas, coordinating with producers, plants, pipelines, and traders to ensure flows align with contractual and commercial positions.

You will monitor receipts, storage activity, and capacity, adjusting as needed to mitigate imbalances and optimize transportation use.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily and monthly natural gas nominations for processing plants and gathering systems.
• Coordinate plant nominations with producers, marketers, and pipeline operators.
• Reconcile nominated, confirmed, allocated, and actual volumes.
• Monitor supply, storage, and transporter capacity to align with contracts.
• Optimize use of firm and interruptible transportation with traders.
• Communicate nominations and changes with traders, producers, pipelines, and counterparties.
• Provide updates on plant performance and pipeline constraints.
• Maintain records for month-end reconciliation and reporting.
