Job summary

Johnson Brothers Maverick of Texas is seeking a senior Transportation Manager to direct delivery and fleet operations across Texas. You will manage 150+ vehicles and a delivery team, develop transport strategies, and ensure DOT compliance while partnering with Operations to improve efficiency. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in Transportation Management, strong KPI analysis, and leadership, plus experience with Samsara or similar fleet software.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Transportation Management.
• Ability to analyze operational data and build KPI scorecards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong multitasking, prioritization, and deadline-driven performance.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop a high-performance transportation team.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation operations across Texas for delivery and fleet.
• Oversee 150+ company vehicles and 125+ delivery staff.
• Develop transportation strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Own Delivery P&L and capital/financial planning.
• Maintain relationships with vendors for repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure DOT/local compliance and safety standards.
• Monitor and expand KPI metrics to drive improvements.
• Lead transportation leaders across territories within the state.
• Mentor staff and build a high-performing team.
• Provide guidelines and measurable expectations for staff.
