Qualifications

• Must hold current/active Texas (TCOLE) Peace Officer's License.
• Must currently be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to pass MCSO pre-employment testing and drive standards.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and resident for background checks.
• Must pass firearms qualification and physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Enforce the laws of the State of Texas.
• Conduct accurate field investigations.
• Respond to calls for service, if assigned.
• Execute criminal and traffic warrants, if assigned.
• Work any shift as directed.
• Monitor contraband, suicide attempts or escape attempts, if assigned.
• Supervise inmates, if assigned.
• Participate in booking and releasing inmates, if assigned.
• Complete other duties as requested by supervisor.
