Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

• Completion of Texas Basic Peace Officer course and licensure by TCOLE at hire.
• Valid Texas Driver's License or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Willingness to work nights, evenings, overtime, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned county area.
• Maintains awareness of area for crime prevention.
• Responds day or night to major offense locations for on-scene investigations; records offenses and accidents; interviews complainants, witnesses and defendants; and handles traffic control.
