Job summary

Syngenta Vegetables and Flowers is seeking an Area Sales Manager in Texas to lead a high-performance sales team and achieve sales targets. You will drive go-to-market strategies, develop Vegetable Seeds offerings, and nurture key industry contacts.

Requirements include a bachelor’s in a related field and 5 years of agribusiness or agricultural sales experience, with strong Excel and forecasting skills and a customer-focused mindset. This role is based in Texas with on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business, Marketing, or a related field is required. Master’s preferred.
• 5 years of progressive experience in horticulture, vegetable seeds, agribusiness, or agricultural sales with a proven results track record.
• Proven leadership experience coaching and leading high-performing sales teams with accountability and collaboration.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen including forecasting, demand planning, budgeting, pricing, and data-driven decision-making. Advanced Excel skills preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with growers, dealers, distributors, and stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of vegetable seed markets, competitive landscapes, and market dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Design and drive go-to-market strategies for the area aligned with the Commercial Unit.
• Develop vegetable seeds offer and driving sales execution for the area.
• Nurture key contacts in the vegetable industry and build relationships with influencers.
• Monitor performance and adjust strategies to meet sales and profit targets.
• Provide high scientific, technical, and product expertise.
• Coordinate sales actions for campaigns and product launches.
• Collaborate with Product Development and Marketing Operations to coordinate demos and demand generation.
