Job summary

Cornerstone Credit Union League seeks an Executive Director to lead the Texas Credit Union Association’s advocacy and legislative program. You will manage relationships with state legislators and Congress, oversee contract lobbyists, and represent the association to members and stakeholders.

You will analyze legislation, pursue board-approved priorities, and supervise the TXCUA Grassroots & PAC Director, working within a five-state league that supports credit unions through training and advocacy.

Qualifications

• A four-year bachelor’s degree in Finance, Government, or Political Science or related experience.
• Five years in legislative process with supervisory experience.
• Strong writing and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement Association goals for State and Federal Advocacy.
• Develop and draft legislative initiatives beneficial to credit unions.
• Represent credit unions before state legislature, Congress, and agencies.
• Provide updates on legislative and political issues to members and staff.
• Oversee grassroots network and promote involvement in campaigns.
