Fajita Pete's in Texas is seeking a dependable, energetic Line Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team. You will prepare fresh Tex-Mex dishes, follow recipes, maintain cleanliness, and uphold our standards for quality, safety, and speed.

Ideal candidates are punctual, team-oriented, able to stand for long periods, and willing to work weekends and holidays. Training is available for the right candidate who is eager to contribute to a high-volume operation delivering great fajitas and consistent

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Strong attention to food quality and cleanliness.
• Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and instructions.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be available to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fajitas, proteins, vegetables, and other menu items according to Fajita Pete's recipes and standards.
• Set up and maintain assigned cooking and prep stations.
• Follow proper portioning, cooking temperatures, and presentation standards.
• Complete food preparation before and during each shift.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements.
• Properly label, date, rotate, and store food products.
• Communicate with other kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure orders are prepared accurately and on time.
• Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries when needed.
• Complete opening, closing, and cleaning duties.
• Help minimize food waste by following proper preparation and portion-control procedures.
• Support catering and large-order production as needed.
• Perform other kitchen duties assigned by management.
