Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Testsite Design and Development professional to design and characterize in-house test chips and structures. You will work closely with technology development, design enablement, product, test, and manufacturing teams.

The role emphasizes translating silicon results into actionable improvements and ensuring robust test sites. The position requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical/related field and hands-on experience with IC/test-chip design, characterization, and EDA

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in electrical engineering, microelectronics, or related field.
• Experience with semiconductor IC/test-chip design and technology development.
• Ability to interpret silicon measurement data and trends.
• Familiarity with schematic capture, layout, DRC/LVS, extraction, and verification workflows.
• Excellent communication with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop in-house test chips and test structures to characterize technologies.
• Define chip-level and device-level structures for electrical measurement and technology characterization.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to translate characterization needs into testsite requirements and silicon implementations.
• Evaluate designs through design-to-mask readiness, layout review, and related checks.
• Plan and perform electrical characterization of fabricated test chips to quantify device and technology behavior.
• Analyze silicon data, identify trends, and recommend improvements to models or testsites.
• Iterate designs to improve learning efficiency, measurement capability, and technology maturity.
• Document architecture, results, and conclusions for stakeholders.
