Job summary

Galen College of Nursing seeks a Testing Proctor to administer and proctor exams in the Testing Center. You will support students with 504 accommodations, schedule tests, and maintain exam security while delivering excellent customer service.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma (some college preferred), familiarity with 504 requirements, and comfort with computer- and iPad-based testing. This is an on-site role in Houston.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of testing procedures and 504 testing requirements.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks with attention to details.
• Experience with computer- and iPad-based testing.
• Must be able to sit for up to eight hours and lift 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Administers exams for students requiring 504 Accommodations in the Testing Center.
• Administers makeup exams, TEAS tests, and ATI assessments.
• Maintains security of exams and materials, inventories, and ensures secure storage.
• Adheres to procedures for the distribution, collection, and return of testing materials.
• Monitors for student dishonesty or unethical behavior during exams.
• Provides excellent customer service and effective communication to students, faculty, and staff.
• Prepares and schedules student exams based on course schedule and needs.
• Maintains confidential records and FERPA compliance.
• Attends work regularly and follows schedule to meet job demands.
• Refer students to support services as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
