Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a Testing Engineer to execute multi‑environment test programs and analyze results. You will maintain testing labs, calibrate instruments, and collaborate with engineering and commercial teams to inform product design decisions.

Travel up to 20–25% across North America is expected, with occasional extended lab or field testing. A Bachelor’s in engineering plus 2–3+ years of experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level engineering degree in applicable fields.
• 2–3+ years in experimental testing and data analysis required.
• Ability to operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot complex instruments.
• Strong data analysis: Excel; MATLAB/JMP/Tableau experience.

Responsibilities

• Interact with internal/external customers to gather requirements and propose designs.
• Plan, develop, and execute product and system evaluation tests with defined methods.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment for reliable results.
• Lead data analysis and present findings to teams and customers.
• Support testing projects from planning to reporting and communication.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related engineering discipline

Master's or PhD degree is a plus (internship experience considered)

2–3+ years of experience in experimental testing and data analysis

Proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools (MATLAB, JMP, Tableau)
