Placements24 busca un Tester de Videojuegos de Rendimiento para trabajar de forma remota en México. El rol se centra en pruebas de rendimiento, estrés, monitorización de FPS, memoria y cuellos de botella, colaborando con ingenieros para mejorar la experiencia del jugador.

Se requiere experiencia en pruebas de rendimiento de juegos, conocimiento de hardware PC y herramientas de profiling (RenderDoc, PIX, VTune), disponibilidad para contrato remoto y comunicación efectiva en español.

Mansioni

• Ejecutar planes de pruebas de rendimiento para medir FPS, tiempos de carga, uso de memoria y utilización de CPU/GPU.
• Identificar y documentar cuellos de botella y regressions en diferentes configuraciones de hardware.

About the Role

Our client, a key player in the competitive Videojuegos y Esports arena, is seeking a specialized Tester de Videojuegos de Rendimiento to contribute to their high-caliber, fully remote operations within Mexico . This position is critical for ensuring games run smoothly and efficiently across a wide range of hardware configurations. You will be tasked with stress-testing game builds, monitoring frame rates, analyzing memory usage, and identifying performance bottlenecks that could impact the player experience. If you possess a strong technical aptitude, an understanding of hardware limitations, and a passion for optimizing game performance, this role offers a compelling challenge. You will work closely with engineers to diagnose and resolve performance issues, directly contributing to the final polish of game titles. This is a contract role designed for individuals who thrive on technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute performance test plans to measure frame rates, load times, memory usage, and CPU/GPU utilization.


• Identify and document performance bottlenecks and regressions across different hardware specifications.


• Utilize performance profiling tools (e.g., RenderDoc, PIX, VTune) to diagnose issues.


• Work with engineers to understand technical limitations and implement performance optimizations.


• Conduct stress tests to ensure game stability under demanding conditions.


• Verify that performance improvements meet required targets.


• Report performance issues clearly, providing technical details and reproduction steps.


• Benchmark game performance against competitors or previous versions.


• Contribute to defining performance targets and standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in game performance testing or a related technical QA role.


• Strong understanding of PC hardware components (CPU, GPU, RAM) and their impact on game performance.


• Familiarity with performance profiling tools and techniques.


• Ability to analyze technical data and identify root causes of performance issues.


• Experience testing on multiple hardware configurations and operating systems.


• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.


• Proficiency with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira).


• Self-motivated with strong time management skills for a fully remote work environment.


• Good communication skills in Spanish, with the ability to discuss technical topics.


• Knowledge of game engines like Unreal Engine or Unity is a plus.
