Job summary

ABB is seeking a Quality/Production support role to help implement and sustain a quality system within the manufacturing unit. You will assist the Quality team by conducting audits, reporting KPIs, maintaining process documentation, and supporting daily quality activities.

The role requires a High School diploma, candidates with manufacturing or quality control experience preferred, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prior manufacturing or quality control experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform push/pull tasks.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Test product to standards following work instructions and SOPs.
• Ensure quality operation of the process with checks and maintenance.
• Maintain predetermined efficiency and productivity rates.
• Prepare and maintain accurate production records per SOPs.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist the Quality team in implementing and maintaining a quality system, including conducting audits, establishing controls, training on tools and methodologies. Each day, you will support activities related to quality management within the organizational unit. You will also showcase your expertise by reporting quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and customer cases and maintaining process documentation.

• Understands and follows plant safety and procedures
• Avoid or prevent hazardous conditions from developing
• Wears appropriate protective equipment as required, dresses and conducts self in a safe manner
• Keeps work area clean and orderly and maintains Lean 5S
• Participates in plant safety objectives

Job Functions

• Responsible for all aspects of testing product to standards, i.e. work instructions, S.O.P’s, and revision control.
• Ensures quality operation of the process, performs quality checks and controls, including adherence to cleaning and maintenance
• Must maintain pre-determined efficiency, standards and productivity rates
• Prepares and maintains accurate production records and follows SOP’s

Education And Experience

• High School diploma/GED is required
• Prior manufacturing experience or quality control experience Preferred
• Ability to lift to 40lbs and perform push/pull functions
• Can work overtime to meet Business Objectives
• Can work a weekend schedule as needed.
