Role Summary:

The Lab Technician will operate semiconductor test equipment and run test programs to collect data for engineering reports. They will also maintain equipment calibration and lab cleanliness, order test lab supplies, and manage the storage and shipping of test chip devices.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Operate semiconductor test equipment; run characterization and qualification test programs.
• Manage ATE tester schedules and interface with Product/Test Engineers to support device test requirements of multiple projects; interpret datalogs to determine basic pass/fail information and decide on further testing.
• Follow test plans/instructions, interpret datalogs to troubleshoot basic test issues, and report problems to engineers.
• Maintain test equipment calibration, supplies, and lab cleanliness.
• Manage serialization, shipping, storage, and yield reporting of test chip inventory.
• Work in a lab environment with higher noise levels due to thermal and compressor equipment.
• Require manual dexterity and stamina to load/unload devices, handle boards, and operate thermal equipment.
• Work independently, often during evening/weekend shifts, sometimes as the sole employee in the lab and office.

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience operating electronic test equipment in a lab setting.
• Proactive and motivated with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience following test procedures.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Experience operating ATE testers and thermal equipment.
• Basic lab skills such as ESD handling, troubleshooting loadboards/sockets, and soldering.

Education:

High school diploma required; technician/technologist degree preferred.
