Job description

Senior SAP Platform Engineer, Rockwell Automation, Inc., Milwaukee, WI:

Design, configure, and test on-premises enterprise resource planning systems. Engage with product owners to evaluate risks and assess business objectives. Evaluate end-user necessities based on technical and functional requirements, user research, market analytics, client feedback, and usability diagnostics. Identify design challenges and practical technical solutions. Design, deploy, integrate, monitor, and enhance delivery pipelines. Analyze and improve the efficiency of systems and service through monitoring and performance tracing. Create and execute test plans to ensure complete testing of all system components. Troubleshoot problems identified by end-users. Contribute to the design and execution of end-user research and usability testing, employing technical procedures to better comprehend end-user requirements. Ensure third party applications and products are customized to deliver a consistent end-user experience.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience.

In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, the employer will accept 2 additional years of related work experience.

Must have 7 years of experience in each of the following:

• Administering SAP Business Application Software Integrated Solution (Basis);
• Supporting SAP Basis production for NetWeaver, Portal, or SRM;
• Using SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software;
• Creating bolt-on modules for ERPs;
• Defining SAP technical architecture, workflow, and components;
• Performing SAP upgrades and Service Pack installations;
• Creating ERP suite modules including, ABAP, JAVA stacks, ECC, CRM, SRM, BI\BW, or PI\XI;
• Working with hosting providers to troubleshoot SAP and infrastructure issues;
• Creating and maintaining SAP system monitoring using Splunk, NewRelic, Dynatrace, or BigPanda; and
• Providing performance engineering and production support for SAP HANA, MAXDB, and Oracle databases.
