Job summary

General Dynamics NASSCO in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Test Coordinator in the Engineering department. The role supports the Test and Trials program, maintains the Test Schedule, coordinates test activities during repair and construction, and interfaces with QA and Customer Representatives. Hours are 7am–3:30pm.

Requirements include a B.S. degree (or equivalent) and 10 years in shipbuilding, plus proven experience with propulsion systems, control systems, and diesel generators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with strong background in ship systems.
• 10 years of experience in repair/construction shipbuilding preferred.
• Experience interfacing with Customer and Regulatory Body requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review work items to determine required tests and inspections per NAVSEA standards.
• Obtain and review Test & Inspection (T&I) Plan from QA for each project.
• Write and maintain a Test and Trials Schedule & Tracking Matrix.
