Job summary

The role reports to the QA/QC Manager and involves coordinating testing activities and maintaining calibration records. Required qualifications include a four-year engineering degree or equivalent, extensive QA experience with supervisory exposure, and formal electrical training.

Qualifications

• Four-year college-level degree in engineering or closely related area.
• Extensive experience in quality assurance and some supervisory experience.
• Formal electrical training (4-year apprenticeship or equivalent).
• Knowledge of shipbuilding processes and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze specifications to determine testing requirements and assist in writing procedures.
• Order, calibrate, and maintain test instruments and records.
• Conduct tests and sea trials prior to customer acceptance and address inquiries.
• Maintain current testing documents and submit status reports.
• Identify deficiencies and work with engineers to correct them.
