Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Test Tools Engineering Intern (Year-Round) in Troy, MI to support tool developers and contribute to test automation and tool setups. You will assist in documenting concepts, creating scripts, and participating in hardware procurement and tool validation.

The role targets students or recent graduates in engineering/computer science with interest in electronics, software, and new technologies, offering a hands-on opportunity within a global automotive technology leader.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or recent graduate.
• Technical level skills in Electronics and/or computer science topics.
• Desire to learn/acquire test tool development process skills.
• Passion for new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in the documentation of Test Tool Concept.
• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in the definition of Test Tool Concept.
• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in the development of test automation scripts.
• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in HW procurement process.
• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in Tool acceptance assessment.
• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in setup of Tool Development stations.
• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in debug/troubleshooting of Tool Development stations.
• Create documentation of tools; backup documentation and test scripts following Valeo standards (SVN).
• Continuously identify areas for improvement.
