Job description

EVONA is working with an innovative aerospace technology organization developing advanced communications hardware for space, airborne, and terrestrial applications.

The Role

We are seeking a Test Technician II – RF to join a hands-on engineering test team supporting the development and testing of advanced RF electronics and active phased-array antenna (AESA) technology.

This position is ideal for an Engineering, Electronics, or RF Technician who enjoys working directly with hardware, building test setups, operating laboratory instrumentation, and collaborating with engineers to troubleshoot complex electronics.

The laboratory environment includes equipment such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, DMMs, power meters, automated power supplies/loads, and antenna test equipment.

You will support testing from the component level through integrated systems while helping maintain efficient, organized, and repeatable laboratory processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute engineering test plans and provide accurate and timely reporting of results
  • Build, configure, and support RF and antenna test setups
  • Operate electronic and RF laboratory instrumentation
  • Support testing and troubleshooting of complex electronics and RF circuitry
  • Work with sensitive electronic components including QFNs, chip-scale ICs, RF cables, and 0201 passive components
  • Read and interpret drawings, schematics, diagrams, and engineering test procedures
  • Maintain antenna testing facilities, equipment, cabling, and laboratory resources
  • Produce detailed and well-organized test documentation
  • Collaborate with engineers to identify and resolve hardware and test issues
  • Support clean, repeatable, and well-documented laboratory test configurations
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 2 years of directly related experience as an Engineering Technician, RF Technician, Electronics Technician, Test Technician, or similar
  • Experience working hands-on with active electronics
  • Experience using laboratory equipment such as DMMs and power meters
  • Exposure to RF equipment such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators is highly desirable
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic hardware with engineering direction
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings, schematics, and test procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working across multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience with RF testing, antennas, microwave electronics, phased arrays, AESA systems, anechoic chambers, or aerospace/defense electronics would be particularly valuable.

Due to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, refugee, or otherwise eligible to obtain the required U.S. Government authorizations.

If you're an Engineering or RF Technician who enjoys being hands-on at the bench, troubleshooting hardware, and working with advanced RF technology, we'd like to hear from you.
