Position Summary
  • Conduct procedural tests on production, engineering, and qualification products, including incoming material needed to support customer needs.
  • Understand and use all electrical, mechanical, and optical test equipment, test fixtures, and procedures.
  • Apply knowledge of basic electronics, electrical theory, and Ohm’s law.
  • Troubleshoot setup and product issues with little or no engineering support.
  • Work with 802.3 Ethernet standards.
  • Maintain security for all quality verification equipment and its calibration control.
  • Notify support teams (Quality, Manufacturing Engineering) of errors on procedures, drawings, bills of material, and routers.
  • Complete documentation (shop packs and FATs) accurately and timely.
  • Enter data into the IFS system accurately and timely.
  • Maintain high quality standards and workmanship.
  • Maintain excellent communication and working relationships with all departments.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Communicate special tooling needed to perform operations not previously identified.
Education and Experience
  • Two‑year technical degree or equivalent military training or demonstrated job experience.
  • Recent experience in an electrical or electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Recent experience in hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Experience handling fiber‑optic related products.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Work safely with minimal or no direct supervision.

  • Use common sense for troubleshooting.

  • Operate electrical, mechanical, and optical test equipment (e.g., Megger, ohmmeter, pressure gauge, dial caliper).
  • Read technical drawings, electrical schematics, specifications, and procedures.
  • Use MS Office programs—Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Use optical test equipment.
  • Accept constructive criticism from peers, leads, and managers.
  • Perform shop math calculations.
