Job summary

CesiumAstro in Austin, TX is seeking a Test Technician III to join our electronics lab supporting antenna and RF testing for space and aerospace applications. You will collaborate with engineers to build test setups, execute plans, and report findings using state-of-the-art instrumentation.

The role requires hands-on experience with spectrum analyzers, VNAs, power supplies, and DMMs; familiarity with AESA testing is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; AS degree preferred in Electronics/CS/Manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with active electronics.
• Ability to read schematics and assembly documentation.
• Ability to document test solutions and releases.
• Soldering, PCB assembly/rework; cabling; familiarity with Automated Test Systems.
• Hands-on with lab instruments: spectrum analyzers, RF generators, VSAs, DMMs, oscilloscopes.
• Ability to troubleshoot diverse electronics equipment.
• Strong organization skills.
• Experience with MS Teams, Confluence, Jira.
• Hands-on, resourceful with strong work ethic.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong digital, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute test plans and provide concise and timely reporting of findings.
• Organize and maintain antenna testing facilities and resources.
• Create clean, intricate, and well‑documented test setups consisting of instrumentation, cabling, and the devices under test.
• Create thorough documentation with meticulous attention to detail and a high standard of quality.
• Assemble & validate custom test fixtures, cable harnesses, etc. for supporting test station development for production and product validation.
• Perform measurement validation on test solutions to validate the performance of the instruments, cabling etc.
