Job summary

Advanced Technology Services in Mossville, IL is seeking an industrial maintenance-oriented technician to support test and data collection activities in a factory environment.

You will install units, run test cycles, collect data, and collaborate with engineers to ensure quality and process improvement, under supervision. The role requires basic mechanical skills and willingness to work in a loud, safety-focused setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or 18 months related experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of engines.
• Experience with data collection and testing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and participates in installing unit or system to be tested in test fixtures, connecting valves, pumps, hydraulic, mechanical or electrical controls, cabling, tubing, power source, and indicating instruments.
• Participates in installations and hardware changes.
• Sets up the tested product to the proper operating conditions, collects corresponding data and tears down equipment.
• Confers with engineering personnel to resolve fabrication problems relating to specifications and to review test plans, such as types and cycles of tests, conditions under which tests are to be conducted, and duration of tests.
• Monitors controls and instruments and records test data for engineers.
• Collaborates with engineers regarding data analysis and conclusions.
• Participates in Continuous Improvement activities–processes, results and cost savings.
