Job summary

Avtron seeks a skilled Test Technician to test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify production load bank test equipment using electronics principles and electrical testing.

Responsibilities include wiring and functional testing, prototyping tests, PLC programming, and documenting results to ensure design conformance and safety. The role supports a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2-year Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent or 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of electrical principals and power management.
• Ability to read and follow schematics of complex electrical and mechanical circuits.
• Knowledge of LO/TO and OSHA electrical safety.
• Knowledge of PLC interface, computer programming and networking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Tests, troubleshoots, corrects and documents wiring and functional problems per diagrams and test procedures.
• Tests prototype models according to engineering instructions and knowledge of electronic systems.
• Interface with production and engineering to record and correct nonconformance issues.
• Program and test PLCs used to control load step applications.
• Set up electronic components and protective circuits per test specifications.
• Develop and build test simulations for engineering.
• Train new testers in test techniques and setup.
• Perform final inspection on all tested units.
