Job summary

LightForce in Massachusetts is seeking a Test Technician to join our fast-growing additive manufacturing team. You will conduct hands-on testing to validate quality and support our orthodontic production line.

You will work with process, hardware, manufacturing, and quality teams to drive product development, qualification, and production activities.

Strong hands-on skills, detail orientation, and good documentation are essential; experience with lab test equipment and SOPs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent hands-on technical skills.
• Advanced computer knowledge (Google Workspace, spreadsheets).
• Acute attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong data documentation and traceability.
• Experience with SOPs in manufacturing.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Safe, conscientious in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain lab testing equipment (tensile testers, hardness testers, microscopes).
• Perform tests and measurements to support development and production needs.
• Create and maintain databases.
• Follow test protocols and quality procedures; contribute to documentation improvements.
• Train manufacturing technicians on measurement and inspection procedures.
• Support ad-hoc projects with engineers and other technicians.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and proper waste disposal.
• Comply with company safety policies and procedures; work with equipment for test sample production.
