Job summary

LUFKIN US Acquisitions Company LLC seeks an Automation Test Technician to support the Test Lead Engineer within the Automation Engineering Test Team. You will develop and run automated regression tests and maintain test hardware to ensure reliable operation of the Automated Test System.

You will also field test firmware on pumping units, assist in building test hardware, and help keep the R&D Lab organized. Strong communication and technical writing skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and report automated test system regression tests.
• Troubleshoot and maintain automated test equipment hardware.
• Maintain and organize the Automation R&D Lab.
• Field test automation firmware on location at test oil well.
• Learn how to use existing and new Lufkin Automation products and their key features.
• Develop test plans and test procedures to verify and validate operation of new and existing features.
• Work with Automation engineers to verify automated test procedures are up to date.
• Install test procedures into the Automated Test System platform.
• Provide health status reports of Automation hardware through the RMA process.
• Assist in constructing new Automated Test System hardware.
• Keep the Automation R&D Lab clean and organized.
• Ensure firmware performs according to requirements on pumping units designated for testing.

Job description

Test Technicians work under the general direction of the Test Lead Engineer. A test technician will apply skill and expertise to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Lufkin Automation Engineering Test Team.

Duties of an Automation Test Technician are:

• Develop, maintain, and report the results of Automated Test System regression tests
• Troubleshoot and maintain Automated Test Equipment hardware
• Maintain and organize the Automation R&D Lab
• Field test Automation firmware on location at test oil well.

• Learn how to use existing and new Lufkin Automation products and their key features
