Job summary

A leading aerospace firm in Wilmington is seeking a Test Technician to perform mechanical and electronic testing setup and support engineering efforts. The ideal candidate will document test configurations, support a multi-discipline test team, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Qualifications

About This Role

To perform mechanical and electronic test setup, execution, and engineering support for complex systems and assemblies. To support the test program by tracking test equipment before, during and after testing.

Responsibilities
  • Support multi‑discipline test team performing mechanical and electronic test setup, execution, and breakdown.
  • Ability to obtain certifications on handling and safety equipment such as cranes, lifts, and harnesses.
  • Set up and install sensors such as thermocouples, strain gauges, accelerometers, and load cells.
  • Periodic travel to off‑site test facilities and ranges to support test activities.
  • Document test configurations, anomalies, and results.
  • Communicate test results and issues with test engineers.
  • Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
  • Track calibrated equipment and work with test engineers to turn equipment in on at least a yearly basis.
  • Work with government property to track all GFE and customer‑acquired property.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s/technical degree preferred.
  • Years of Experience: 0+ years of experience required; technical certifications preferred.
  • Software Knowledge: Microsoft Office Suite.
