A leading company is seeking a Test Technician responsible for conducting various tests on shelters, ensuring quality and compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or trade school education, along with practical experience in testing and mechanical assembly. Responsibilities include data recording, performing tests, and supporting mechanical and environmental evaluations in a dynamic shop floor environment.
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The test technician will perform final testing of shelters in areas such as water-tightness, electrical function, and EMI. They will also support mechanical, structural, and environmental testing, test fixture fabrication, test/product problem resolution, CAPA's, witness offsite testing by subcontractors, and other miscellaneous test functions as directed by the test supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma, GED, trade school (Electrical) or equivalent |
1-3 years of on-the-job experience in testing or mechanical assembly (or related discipline). |
Ability to perform all testing operations, especially water-tightness, electrical function, and EMI. |
Ability to read complex drawings, schematics, and specifications. |
Proficiency with test procedures and equipment such as digital volt meters, gauges, spectrum analyzers, high voltage sources, and generators. |
Ability to operate tow-motors/forklifts. |
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel). |
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Shop floor environment.
Ability to remain in an enclosed shelter for up to 60 minutes.
Stand and sit for extended periods.
Perform repetitive motions.
Lift up to 50 pounds.
Tolerance for constant noise.
Work safely with hazardous chemicals and conditions.
Follow safety protocols and use PPE as required.
Occasional outdoor work.
