Job summary

Brose North America Inc. seeks a test-focused engineer to execute product tests per release plans, monitor performance, and document results clearly. You will work with the Test Release Engineer to meet PDP timelines, maintain clean testing areas, and communicate status across validation and customer teams.

You will gain knowledge of automotive test standards like Ford, GM and FCA specifications, while developing problem-solving and data-analysis skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical background and basic DC electric/wiring knowledge.
• 0-2 years of experience in testing or related area.
• Experience with reporting, data analysis and root cause analysis.
• Ability to communicate with validation, customer teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Perform all necessary tests on products as defined by Test Release Engineer.
• Collaborate to ensure testing aligns with PDP process and schedules.
• Monitor product performance during testing and report results clearly.
• Publish test reports that reflect test details and outcomes per procedures.
• Support cleanliness policies in testing areas and labs.
• Communicate status and results to validation and customer teams.
• Assist in root cause analysis and TIR processes.
• Learn Ford, GM and FCA test specs and documentation.

Your Tasks

• Perform all necessary tests on products as defined by Test Release Engineer and in accordance with test plans, procedures and specifications.
• Works with Test Release Engineer to ensure testing is completed in a timely manner to support the PDP process
• Continuously monitor product performance during testing
• Publish test reports in a clear, concise manner that accurately depicts the details of the test and gives clear results according to TSO
• Support Brose cleanliness policies though quality, effective and clean testing areas.
• Communication to validation team, customer team and customer on status, timing and results.
• Support the analysis of test failures through root cause analysis and the TIR process
• Gain knowledge of Ford, GM and FCA tests and specifications
