Job summary

Brose in Detroit seeks a Mechatronics/Automation Engineer to design, test, and validate mechatronic door and seat systems using LabVIEW, TestStand, and DAQ tools on bench and production lines.

You will deploy validated software and hardware solutions for reliability, safety, and performance, collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑moving automotive environment. A Bachelor’s in Mechatronics or equivalent is required with at least two years of hands‑on experience.

• Twenty-four months’ experience as Engineer or related, testing on test benches and deploying using LabVIEW, TestStand, and DAQ tools.

Your Tasks

• Engineer, develop, test on test benches, integrate, validate, and deploy using LabVIEW, TestStand, and NI DAQ tools automated test equipment for Brose manufacturing plants in Americas/Europe/Asia Regions, including hydraulic/pneumatic test equipment (control opening/closing of fixtures); servo test equipment (validate motor performance); electronics and reflashing LabVIEW-based test equipment (for ECUs in brush/brushless motors); robotic test systems (ABB/Siemens robots to control assembly lines); and LabVIEW applications-based EOLTs to validate end of line component electrical performance, to ensure overall reliability, durability, and safety of Brose mechatronic door modules, door systems (tailgates, frunks, window regulators, latch/e-latch & radar-based systems), seat systems, and motor drives including Cooling Fan Modules, ABS, Drivetrain Actuators, and Electric Oil Pumps. Define and implement test requirements and specifications based on customer and internal standards.
