Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope (OBE) is seeking a hands-on lab technician to select units for testing, transport to the lab, unwrap and re-wrap, and prep specimens for air infiltration and water penetration tests.

You will analyze results, determine causes for test failure, and communicate with Line Supervisors. Proficiency with calipers, dial indicators, and Microsoft Excel/Outlook/Word is preferred. OBE offers competitive benefits, PTO, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and use precision tools (caliper and dial indicator).
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Outlook/Word.

Responsibilities

• Select units for testing.
• Transport units to and from the lab.
• Unwrap and re-wrap the units.
• Specimen preparation.
• Perform air infiltration and water penetration tests.
• Analyze and determine causes for test failure.
• Communicate with Line Supervisors.
• Assist in product certification and buck building.
• Coordinate with the shipping department to prevent delays in shipping to the customer.
• Other duties as assigned.
