Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a lab technician in York, PA to support testing of building products. You will select units for testing, transport them to the lab, unwrap and prepare specimens, and perform air infiltration and water penetration tests.

Ideal candidates read precision tools, have strong math and communication skills, and are proficient with Excel, Outlook and Word. This is a full-time role with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and use precision tools (caliper and dial indicator).
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Great communication skills.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Outlook/Word.

Responsibilities

• Select units for testing.
• Transport units to and from the lab.
• Unwrap and re-wrap the units.
• Specimen preparation.
• Perform air infiltration and water penetration tests.
• Analyze and determine causes for test failure.
• Communicate with Line Supervisors.
• Assist in product certification and buck building.
• Coordinate with the shipping department to prevent delays in shipping to the customer.
• Other duties as assigned.
