Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope (OBE) is seeking a Quality Control & Test Technician in the United States to test and inspect materials and finished products, ensuring conformity to standards and market readiness. The role supports inspections, testing, certification activities, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include approving materials and finished products, documenting re-work, and maintaining test data. Strong measuring tool skills and manufacturing knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of inspection and/or production experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze and interpret information.
• Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures.
• Ability to read and use precision measuring tools including calipers and dial indicators.
• Strong mathematical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications and conducting inspections and tests.
• Approve finished products by confirming specifications and required inspections and tests.
• Return products for re-work and document required activities.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and company standards.
• Perform inspections across all production stages.
• Prepare and maintain test data for review.
• Select units for testing and prepare specimens.
• Perform air infiltration and water penetration tests.
• Analyze test results and draft deviation reports.
• Assist in product certification activities and buck building.
• Communicate quality results with line supervisors.
• Identify areas for quality control improvement.
