Job summary

Raytheon in the United States is seeking a Test Solutions, Senior Principal Program Lead with a decade of hardware engineering leadership. You will guide cross‑functional teams from design through deployment, manage capital TE metrics, and drive long-range planning and proposals to meet program objectives.

This is an onsite role supporting DoD mission systems. The role emphasizes strong EVM discipline, IMS baselining, and collaboration with program managers and engineers to deliver complex test

• Bachelors or higher in STEM with extensive leadership experience.
• Minimum 10 years leading mid- to large-scale technical teams and projects.
• Experience with EVM and baselining IMS for projects.

This position is for a Test Solutions, Senior Principal Program Lead with at least ten (10) years of hardware engineering experience. If you enjoy working in hands‑on multidisciplinary teams, the Test Solutions Center (TS) in hearing from you!

What You Will Do

• Lead multiple projects and teams from TE Startup to Factory Deployment
• Understand scope, factory and program needs of programs
• Drive and be involved in long range planning for capital TE
• Lead TE proposal efforts supporting the Engineering / Operations Long Range Plan
• Follow TE EAC process for scope execution and metric generation
• Lead by example, adhere to, and ensure alignment with Raytheon values and behaviors
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams in the operation, testing, and troubleshooting of systems
• Provide independent business health checks by evaluating capital execution metrics
• Involvement in TS Center initiatives
• Interact with Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Cross Product Team (CPT) / Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads, as well as other functional management to drive results to achieve program and business unit objectives

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years relevant experience
• At least ten (10) years of leadership experience overseeing mid- to large-scale technical teams and projects
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), and baselining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) of projects
• Experience with bidding proposals and long-range planning

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience working with Program Configuration Management principles and tools such as IMS, PMX tools, or tracking books
• Knowledge of business and program improvements through process improvement methodologies
• Experience supporting technical issue resolution, and mentoring early career staff members, or managing project teams of various sizes

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
