Job summary

RTX, via Collins Test Solutions Engineering (CTSE), seeks a Mission Systems Senior Engineering Manager in Largo, FL to lead a team of 12–15 test engineers delivering production and engineering test solutions.

You will mentor staff, conduct performance reviews, and manage budgets, schedules, and equipment. Occasional travel may be required; on-site work is expected. A Secret clearance is required to start.

Qualifications

• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government clearance required.
• Degree in STEM with 7–10 years relevant experience or advanced degree with 7+ years.

What You Will Do

• This position will lead a team of 12-15 software, systems and hardware test engineers in the design and development of test solutions that will be deployed to engineering and production facilities.
• The candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, guidance, hiring, and mentoring to new engineers.
• A candidate for this position will prepare/deliver performance reviews, provide coaching/mentoring, assist in career development, plan salaries, reward and recognize individuals, and manage staff performance, as needed.
• The candidate will also be responsible for identifying the necessary staff, facilities, and equipment for the successful execution of projects.
• In addition to strong leadership and organizational skills, candidates must have experience in project management.
• Candidate will be responsible for adherence to capital and operating budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements, along with the planning and budgeting for the acquisition of test equipment.
• Occasional domestic and international travel is rare but may be expected for this position.
• This role will require you to work on-site.

Qualifications

• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
• Working knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
• Experience in a leadership role.
• Experience presenting to leadership and peers.
• We Prefer Advanced degree in one of the aforementioned disciplines.
• ABET accreditation preferred.
• Previous experience with career development and personal skills development of team members.
• Experience developing Test Solutions for production test environments.
• Experience in leading/developing power supply, RF and digital technology projects.
• Experience working in Agile development process.
• Experience working with Program Management principles and tools.
• Experience with Proposal Capture Process (development of compliant Basis of Estimates).
• Experience with Estimate at Complete (EAC) process and Engineering Labor Forecasting.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
