Job summary

Southern Interconnect in Houston, TX, seeks a quality engineer with wire and cable manufacturing experience to ensure regulatory and customer quality requirements are met. You will program machinery, verify test processes, and oversee test activities with CAMI Eagle Eye equipment (up to 1024 points).

Knowledge of IPC620, ISO9000 and AS9100 is essential. Some employee management is required to ensure quality requirements are implemented and test verifications are conducted in a high-mix,

Qualifications

• Experience in electronic manufacturing, wire and cable environment.
• Experience with IPC620, ISO9000, AS9100 and applicable quality standards.
• Experience with automated testers such as CAMI Eagle Eye equipment with up to 1024 test points.
• Must be able to program machinery and verify test processes/capabilities including diode and power resistor testing.
• Experience in quality management and quality system compliance.

Job description

Requirements:

• Experience in an electronic manufacturing environment specifically wire and cable manufacturing.
• Experience with IPC620, ISO9000, AS9100 and applicable quality standards. Experience with complex harness test processes including automated testers such as CAMI Eagle Eye equipment with up to 1024 test points. Must be able to program machinery, verify test processes/capabilities including diode and power resistor testing.
• Experience in quality management including quality system compliance is required.
• Process quality check definition and implementation on an as needed basis required in a high mix, low volume cable and harness shop.

This position can be hourly or salaried depending on candidate preference and experience. Some employee management is required in the position to ensure applicable quality requirements are implemented along with test process verification.
