Position Summary

This role involves supporting the JSC Engineering, Technology, and Science (JETS) II contract, specifically within the Wireless Communications & Integration section of the Engineering Department. You will work in an innovative environment, collaborating with a dedicated team to ensure our services exceed standards and expectations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least one year of related experience. The position may be hired at various levels within our professional framework depending on business needs. International travel, flexible work schedules, and telework options may be available.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the success of the Gateway Ready Avionics Integration Lab (GRAIL), certifying avionics for the Gateway Program lunar modules.
• Support rotating to Second Shift hours (3 pm-11 pm) during testing.
• Design and support testing hardware, coordinate with various internal groups, and support test readiness reviews.
• Ensure QA/QE support, perform pre-task briefs, and execute validation testing as a Test Operations Engineer.
• Archive test results, contribute to Post Test Reports, and develop top-level test procedures in DOORS Next Generation.
• Perform ground and flight testing with hardware documentation, use Linux workstations and scripts, and support integration testing for verification and validation.
• Review project schedules, track engineering deliverables, and understand CAD drawings and system configurations.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware specifications and delivery, perform other related duties.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field with at least one year of experience.
• Good communication and organizational skills, team-oriented mindset.
• Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and power systems, lab operations, and documentation.
• Availability for rotating Second Shift hours.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of avionics hardware or flight processes/paperwork.
• Experience with NASA avionics is a plus.

Proof of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency may be required, along with the ability to complete a U.S. government background check.
