Job summary

KB Signaling Inc. is seeking a motivated Test Hardware Engineer Intern to support the design and development of a custom switch matrix used in automated production test systems.

You will gain hands-on experience with analog and digital circuit design, relay switching, PCB development, and test automation hardware, collaborating with multiple engineering teams to build a reliable, scalable architecture. Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Completed coursework in circuit analysis, electronics, and digital systems.
  • Understanding of analog and digital circuit fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB design tools.
  • Experience using common laboratory test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop a custom switch matrix subsystem for production test equipment.
  • Evaluate and select switching technologies including relays, multiplexers, and analog switches.
  • Create schematics and PCB layouts.
  • Develop signal routing architectures for test measurements.
  • Perform circuit simulations and analysis to verify signal integrity and specs.
  • Assist with prototype assembly, bring-up, and validation testing.
  • Document hardware designs and validation results.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and test engineering teams to meet throughput and reliability goals.
  • Support debugging and root-cause analysis of hardware issues.
