Job summary

KB Signaling Inc. in Grain Valley, Missouri is seeking an Intern to assist in test hardware engineering for production test systems. You will help design a switch matrix, evaluate relay technologies, and develop PCB layouts, gaining hands-on experience with precision measurements and validation.

The role emphasizes teamwork with manufacturing and test groups, learning end-to-end hardware development, and improving through practical lab work on analog/digital circuits and test fixtures.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Completed coursework in circuit analysis, electronics and digital systems.
• Understanding of analog and digital circuit fundamentals.
• Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB design tools.
• Experience with common laboratory test equipment is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a custom switch matrix subsystem for automated production test equipment.
• Evaluate switching technologies including relays and multiplexers.
• Create schematics and PCB layouts for test hardware.
• Develop signal routing architectures for test measurements.
• Perform circuit simulations and verify signal integrity and specs.
• Assist with prototype assembly, bring‑up, troubleshooting, and validation testing.
• Document hardware designs and validation results.
