Job summary

HX5 Sierra, LLC. seeks a Test Operations Manager to lead the TFOME effort at NASA Glenn Research Center.

You will plan, organize, and control resources for all test sites, including wind tunnels, engine labs, materials labs, and microgravity facilities, with responsibility for Lewis Field operations. The role requires 10+ years in aerospace engineering, strong management skills, and proven experience with government contracts and PM.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' engineering experience in aerospace.
• Experience with aerodynamics/aerothermodynamics testing and related facilities.
• Experience managing people and programs on government contracts.
• Experience as a manager on NASA/DOD-like contracts.
• Background in test engineering, ISO 9001 quality assurance, safety, and PM.
• Experience leading organizational changes and customer partnerships.
• Process improvements and cost reductions while meeting schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead supervisors, engineers, technicians for operation of test sites.
• Ensure services meet work instructions, safety, QA, budgets and schedules.
• Plan labor resources and recruit with HR; organize project teams.
• Ensure all data, reports, and submittals are accurate and timely.
• Implement performance evaluation processes; classify personnel.
• Monitor costs and schedules; adjust to keep projects on budget.
• Continuously measure and improve contract performance.
